SBA Minority Gifts

SBA 'Section 8(a)' minority contract guarantees.  The total for ALL federal agencies was $6.67 billion dollars in race-specific contract guarantees - from which amount white, male-owned business were excluded.

Section 8(a) Share of Prime Contracts.  The U.S. Small Business Administration's "Section 8(a) businesses" are minority-owned businesses, as defined by the federal government.  "Prime Contracts" means these minority businesses were given the main contract, without competition, because their owners are the correct race.  Federal minority contract awards - without competition - totalled $6.67 billion!

SDB Federal Prime Contract Gifts

Small Disadvantaged Busiess contract guarantees.  The total for ALL federal agencies' racial guarantees to this group of minorities was $5 billion dollars - from which amount white, male-owned businesses were excluded. 

SDB - Small and Disadvantaged Business Share of Federal Prime Contracts.  SDB's are minority-owned businesses, as defined by the federal government.  "Prime Contracts" means these minority businesses were given the main contract, without competition, based upon their skin color.  In this category, federal minority contract awards - without competition - totalled $5 billion!

SDB Federal Subcontract Gifts

SDB Subcontract Guarantees.  White, male-owned contractors were required to spend $4.1 billion dollars on subcontracts to minority-owned businesses, regardless of qualifications.

SDB - Small and Disadvantaged Business Share of Federal Subcontracts.   SDB's are minority-owned businesses, as defined by the federal government.  "Share of Subcontracts" means that the government dictated to the prime contractor that he/she must hire a certain number of minority subcontractors.  In this category, federal minority subcontract guarantees - without competition - totalled $4.1 billion!

Women Owned Business Federal Prime Contract Gifts

Women-owned Contract Guarantees.  The total for ALL federal agencies' sex-based guarantees to women-owned businesses was $3.86 billion dollars - from which amount white, male-owned contractors were excluded.

WBE - Women-Owned Small Business Share of Prime Contracts. "Share of Prime Contracts" means that these women-owned businesses were given the approved percentage of prime contracts without competition from white, male-owned businesses, because the recipients were the correct sex.  In this category, federal women-owned business contract awards - without competition - totalled $3.86 billion!

Women Owned Business Federal Subcontract Gifts

Women-owned Business Subcontract Guarantees.  White, male-owned contractors were required to spend $2.14 billion dollars on subcontracts to women-owned businesses, regardless of qualifications.

WBE - Women-Owned Small Business Share of Federal Subcontracts. "Share of Subcontracts" means that the government dictated to the prime contractor that he/she must hire a certain number of women-owned subcontractors.  In this category, federal women-owned subcontract guarantees - without competition - totalled $2.14 billion!
